The Narcissist Stare & What It Means

Toxic people are experts at subtly controlling those they’re closest to. One such method of control is the narcissistic stare, which is meant to communicate ridicule, hatred, and contempt. Sounds super creepy, right? It is. Keep reading to find out why…

The Narcissistic Stare

This eerie, unsettling stare communicates to the person being stared at that something is extremely off-kilter, yet they have no idea what that “something” could be. This makes the stare all the more intimidating.

The recipient of this penetrating, calculating gaze feels as if their abuser can see right through them – it’s as if they’re transparent – like the narcissist can see into their very soul. This makes them feel guilty and convicted of a crime they don’t remember committing.

Normal people don’t have the language to articulate what’s happening to them when they’re being “stared” at in this manner. It’s like they’re immobilized and spellbound, which is actually the intent behind this type of manipulative behavior.

In my case, the stare was a stupid smirk. Be aware, there’s a purpose behind this hypnotizing stare and smile. The intent is to “freeze” the targeted prey. Kind of like what animals do in the wild when they’re out for a kill.

Looking at you in this malicious, predatory way is meant to keep you destabilized so that you’ll remain a victim under their control. Narcissists thrive on control. If you know the intent behind the black-eyed, demonic stare, you can better protect yourself from capitulating to their control tactics. Do NOT entertain this behavior. Walk away and walk away FAST…

Have any of you experienced this where you almost feel like you can’t move when the narc has his stare on?
